Libri consigliati per... #6 Speciale San Valentino

On a dark and stormy night a coven of writers gathers to
spellcheck under a hallowed moon. The result is a bubbling
cauldron of fear, suspense, and absolute sexiness.
From the ghostly seduction of a Victorian governess, to
vampires in the substance abuse clinic, with witchery in the
coffee house, and cannibalism in the kitchen, this selection of
stories is dark, damning, and terrifyingly erotic.
To be read by candlelight, and never alone!
Authors: Cheri Crystal, Cheri Fuller, Emma Sterner-Radley,
Eve Francis, Gill McKnight, Jess Lea, Jove Belle, Kate Welshire,
Lila Bruce, Mary-Anne O’Malley, May Dawney, and Tiana Tatanov

After the Second World War, Amelia Maldonado opts to live a quiet life bussing tables at a diner during the day and going out for auditions at night. The one bright spot is her friendship with the charming Laura Wright, a well-heeled woman with a mysterious war-related past.
When Laura shows up outside the diner barely conscious and spitting lousy lies, Amelia takes it upon herself  to figure out the truth. From mobsters to spies, Amelia quickly finds herself forced back into a world of shadows she thought she'd escaped long ago and thrust into partnership with the one person she's sure can ruin her - the enigmatic Laura Wright.

Altro libro f/f recensito qui sul blog. Abbastanza esplicito!

Tabitha "Abby" Crane, a doctoral student working on her thesis, doesn't allow herself much time outside academia. Fortunately, she's managed to squeeze in a research trip over Halloween weekend to the historical society of Sleepy Hollow, New York, where she hopes to uncover new research on the notorious town's most infamous legend - that of the headless horseman. But she has a personal stake in this trip: Abby's own ancestor, Ichabod Crane, disappeared mysteriously over two hundred years ago, perhaps at the hands of the ghostly horseman.
Abby has no reason to expect anything of Sleepy Hollow beyond immersing herself in archival collections and enjoying its Halloween festivities, but then she crosses paths with Katie, who makes her head spin and her heart pound. When Katie invites her on a nighttime visit to the glen where the horseman allegedly rides, Abby can't say no, upending her plans for a quiet research retreat. And when Abby and Katie , who has her own ties to the famous story, find what may be the key to the disappearance of Ichabod Crane all those years ago, love, legend, and magic intermingle, making clear that Sleepy Hollow has plans of its own for yet another Crane.

Warleader. This is what the people of Y'dan used to call the proud warrior Azhani Rhu'len.
Banshee. Oath Breaker. Murderer. these are words that slip off their tongues now. Azhani Rhu'len, once one of the greatest of Y'dan's warriors, is now just a common criminal, escaping the justice of the kingdom she swore to serve.
Kyrian Sardanger. Goddess' own. A healer and priestess, she is involate until one day, when her world is turned upside down and tossed over the back of a horse - literally.
Torn from all she knows, Kyrian finds her fate now rests squarely on the shoulders of the Oath Breaker, Azhani Rhu'len.
When signs of ancient evil appear, Azhani and Kyrian must choose whether to ignore the warnings or stand and face the terrifying menace.

Dante can swim. Ari can't. Dante is articulate and self-assured. Ari has a hard time with words and suffers from self-doubt. Dante gets lost in poetry and art. Ari gets lost in thoughts of his older brother who is in prison. Dante is fair skinned. Ari's features are much darker. It seems that a boy like Dante, whit his open and unique perspective on life, would be the last person to break down the walls that Ari has built around himself.
But against all odds, when Ari and Dante meet, they develop a special bond that will teach them the most important truths of their lives, and help define the people they want to be. But there are big hurdles in their way, and only by believing in each other- and in the power of their friendship- can Ari and Dante emerge stronger on the other side.
